Your journey begins in the charming town of Pedasí, located on the Azuero Peninsula. From here, you’ll take a 20 minute boat ride to Isla Iguana, a protected wildlife refuge renowned for its natural beauty and biodiversity.

As you approach Isla Iguana, the first thing that strikes you is the crystal-clear turquoise water and the pristine white sand beach. The island’s lush greenery and vibrant coral reefs visible beneath the water’s surface promise an exciting day ahead.

Isla Iguana is famous for its vibrant marine life, and as you snorkel, you’ll encounter a stunning array of colorful fish. Following your snorkeling adventure, you’ll have time to relax on the island’s beautiful beaches. The soft, powdery sand is perfect for lounging, and the clear, shallow waters are ideal for a refreshing swim. You might also explore the shoreline, discovering interesting shells and perhaps spotting the island’s namesake iguanas basking in the sun.

If you visit between July and October, you’re in for an extraordinary treat: whale watching season. Humpback whales migrate to the warm waters around Isla Iguana during these months to breed and give birth. You’ll board the boat again for a whale-watching tour, guided by our experts who know where to find these majestic creatures. The sight of a humpback whale breaching or a mother and calf swimming together is awe-inspiring and deeply moving, creating memories that last a lifetime.

Our experience includes a picnic lunch, often featuring fresh, local ingredients. You can enjoy your meal under the shade of a palm tree, listening to the gentle sounds of the waves. This break is a perfect time to soak in the tranquility and beauty of your surroundings.
